This year, strengths in Tech innovation is leveraged more than ever, as we move forward and adapt to a new normal. For example, the Fintech ecosystem is actively supporting the increased use of digital payments and e-commerce.

GSMA – The GSMA represents the interests of mobile operators worldwide, uniting more than 750 operators with almost 400 companies in the broader mobile ecosystem, including handset and device makers, software companies, equipment providers and internet companies, as well as organisations in adjacent industry sectors.

DTI Philippines – The Department of Trade and Industry is the executive department of the Philippine government tasked as the main economic catalyst that enables innovation, competitiveness, job generation, inclusive business, and the empowerment of consumers.

Dr. Rafaelita “Fita” M. Aldaba

Rafaelita M. Aldaba, Undersecretary for Competitiveness and Innovation, Department of Trade and Industry Philippines

Dr. Rafaelita “Fita” M. Aldaba is Undersecretary for Competitiveness and Innovation of the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). She fulfills a key role in the formulation and implementation of the Inclusive Innovation Industrial Strategy (i3S), which puts innovation at the heart of the country’s new industrial policy. Usec. Aldaba is also a member of the Board of Governors of the Philippine Board of Investments (BOI), the country’s primary industry development arm and lead investment promotion agency (IPA). Apart from manufacturing resurgence and industry roadmaps, she is leading DTI’s initiatives on Industry 4.0 and digital transformation of Philippine industries, developing the country’s startup ecosystem, and establishing an inclusive innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem in collaboration with other government agencies, industry, and the academe. She is also in-charge of DTI’s research work on competitiveness, innovation, and industrial policy, support program for startup development, and other related initiatives.

Lisa Ӧhrn

Lisa Ӧhrn, Regional Director, APAC, GSMA

Lisa Ӧhrn heads up the GSMA’s commercial relations in the APAC region. Having worked across three continents with global clients, she is now based in Hong Kong to develop the GSMA’s relationships with the Asian markets. Her focus is to support clients and partners to successfully meet their marketing objectives through the GSMA platforms. One of her current key initiatives is to assist South East Asian companies in their expansion into China, as well as the wider Asian regions.

Sihan Bo Chen

Sihan Bo Chen, Head of Greater China, GSMA

Sihan Bo Chen is the Head of Greater China GSMA and Head of Asia, GSMA Ltd. GSMA is the world largest mobile trade association and Sihan represents GSMA in Asia, especially China to closely work with governments, mobile industry leaders and its ecosystem, to encourage industry innovation, promote advanced technologies and business models, and enhance the sustainable growth in the industry. Sihan joined GSMA in 2011 from London then relocated to Hong Kong later of the year. She was the Vice President, Business Development of Asia and has been the key figure and leader in the development of GSMA in Asia. Prior to GSMA, Sihan has extensive experience in media, government relationships and business management in both mainland China and United Kingdom. Sihan holds an MBA degree from University of Surrey and Bachelor of Arts in Education.

Diane Dugan

Diane Dugan – Eustaquio, Executive Director, IdeaSpace Foundation, Inc., Ideaspace

Diane is the Executive Director of IdeaSpace Foundation, an accelerator for tech startups. IdeaSpace is a non-profit supported by the MVP group of companies since 2012. She assumed the role of Executive Director when First Pacific launched IdeaSpace in 2012 and has had a hand in each of the 91 startups that have entered the IdeaSpace program.

Glenn G. Peñaranda

Glenn G. Peñaranda, Commercial Counsellor, Philippine Trade & Investment Center (PTIC)

He is currently the Commercial Counsellor of the Philippine Trade & Investment Center (PTIC) in the Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in Beijing, China.

He represents the Department of Trade & Industry (DTI) and leads the promotion of Philippine exports to and foreign investments from China.

He also acts as China Team Leader working with PTIC-Shanghai, PTIC-Guangzhou and PTIC-Hong Kong. His previous postings were in Paris, Kuala Lumpur, Chicago and Singapore.

Ross Luo

Ross Luo, General Manager of Asia Pacific Region, Tuya Smart

Ross has years of experience in consumer electronics and smart hardware and software industry, with comprehensive understanding in global markets especially in Asia Pacific region from business expansion, product localization, and B2B services. He has successfully built key strategic partnerships with his team and managed to scale the AIoT smart home business in the Asia Pacific markets.
